Submit an Article
The purpose of the Modeling & Simulation Newsletter is to discuss Modeling and Simulation (M&S) issues, exchange ideas, and keep our community informed. We are interested in obtaining well-written features, how-to articles, “how I did it” stories, tips and hints, instructional and motivational articles which will provide our audience with Simulation Operations knowledge benefitting them in their assignment and in preparing their units for combat operations. We recommend that you read previous issues of the newsletter to get a sense of its tone and style.
Article Submission Guidelines
• First party article submissions only, please include title and author
• Microsoft Word format preferred, no more than 1,500 words
• Please include author e-mail address and telephone number
Image Submission Guidelines
• Hi-resolution (at least 300 dpi) jpeg format for photos
• Please do not place captions or titles in photo files, they may be included in a separate text file
• Original Excel/Word/PowerPoint file preferred for charts or graphs
• Please provide captions, photo credits and/or sources (if applicable,) and figure or table titles
Subject Areas
• Simulators and simulations used to prepare soldiers and units for combat operations
• Creative use of simulations
• Applications of emerging simulation technology to training, course of action analysis, and mission rehearsal
• Evidence of successful use of simulations in training that have led to battlefield success
• Simulation and C4I integration
• Ideas and opinions on the way ahead for Simulation Operations
